DIT is in Kitzbühel in Austria close
to the boarder of Bavaria, South Germany.
It is a small, ancient town in the west Austrian
province of Tyrol, the mountainous part of
Austria. It is internationally famous because
of the annual World Championship Downhill
Ski Race. Kitzbühel is also host to the
Austrian Tennis Open Championships. The town
itself is therefore well served by trains,
buses and roads, as well as being an attractive
alpine town surrounded by mountains.
The school
is set in a leafy suburb of the town, a 15 minute
walk from the centre. This is a convenient location,
with plenty of accommodation for students, supermarkets,
a large sports equipment and clothing store,
pubs, restaurants and a bank within 5 minutes
walk. There are also tennis courts and a riding
school within walking distance from the school.
There are bus stops all over the town, taking
skiers to the slopes. Our nearest bus stop
is a three minute walk from the school.
